Rage boiling in the young she-cats eyes, the white water falls didn't calm her like she had hoped. The place where she stood was so close to her birth place, where she had been born only a short time ago.

With the city and the things that went along with it far behind her, nothing more than a shining beacon of light in the far distance, Northern felt she could finally relax. And now that she realized what a horrible place the city and surrounding it was really like, Northern realized she had no place there. She shouldn't even have gone in the first place...
The forest and the places within it were where Northern truly belonged. She didn't have to worry about fighting over scraps of food with another wanderer, as there was plenty of food out here and enough to go around. And the entire place itself was enormous; she had no worries about running into someone else out in the middle of the forest.
The sounds of the White Water Falls caught Northern's attention. The calico hadn't realized she had wandered as far as the vicious white falls, but now that she was there she figured she might as well try to hunt. Northern approached the edge of the river, which wound toward the nearby falls. It was then that a scent, one unfamiliar but familiar at the same time, caught her attention.
It was that damned she-cat who'd attacked her in the City.

Over the roar of the falls, the she-cat heard a slight noise that could only be made by the paws of her own species. Flicking her ear, the brown tabby turned and saw the calico she-cat that she had attacked. Though she wouldn't hide that she had attacked her, she was going to hide the fact that she had given a plea to live with the older cat. Hissing, Reaction narrowed her eyes at the calico she-cat and flicked her tail. "What are you doing here..."

Northern's hackles began to lift along her shoulders. Had this she-cat followed her all the way to the forest? The calico's lips curled into a sudden, unexpected snarl. Being irritated wasn't something she was used to, but Reaction was really started to get on her nerves. She'd never been annoyed with someone as much as she was with this younger cat.
"For your information," Northern responded. Her lips curled back, voice coming out in a low growl. "I happen to live nearby. I always have. The question is what you're doing here? You're a City cat!"

"I was born here." Snappily responded the she-cat, aiming a claw towards the calico cat. She was such an annoying bee-brain it wasn't even bringing her amusement! Of course, irritating cats never did; though most bee-brains did. This one was an exception.

Northern was so shocked that Reaction was lashing out at her again, that she was completely unprepared for the younger cat's attack. Reaction's claws swiped across her muzzle, leaving angry red claw marks that immediately began to ooze thick blood. Screeching in mixed fury and surprise, Northern stumbled back and away from Reaction.
Her temper flared as he pain mounted. It was obvious, even to her, that the marks would leave a permanent scar on Northern's face. With a sudden snarl, the calico lunged for Reaction with outstretched claws. "Stupid kit!"

Ducking away from the out stretched claws, the tabby she-cat spat and whipped around to jump at the she-cat pushed forward and by then; it was too late. Both she and the calico she-cat had leaped over the raging waterfall, and there was nothing they could do to stop it.
As her short furred body plummeted to the bottom of the falling water, the she-cat let out a cry of fear before the water took her under and the world went black.
---
Blinking her eyes, the young cat saw a place she did not know. It was beautiful, perfect. The sky shimmered delicately with stars, and many cats paced near her. She didn't realize at first the these odd cats shimmered with a delicate, silvery glow; for the bodies of the cats were each dappled with stars. Blinking slowly, Reaction opened her mouth but couldn't make a sound. Cats were slowly making their way towards her, and the seven moon old couldn't help but stare in aw at the beauty of the cats.
They were so different.
ooc; Northern stated that I could have her cat fall over the waterfall.

When Winter had followed the young Reaction to her home, unnoticed, she had never expected to find another fight going on. It seemed as if the two were destined to fight whenever they met, and there certainly wasn't anything she was going to do to stop it. As they plummeted over the waterfall, she let out a shocked gasp.
Creeping forward, getting as close as she could without following them in their terrifying descent, Winter stared down the falls. Leaning a little closer, craning her neck to try and catch a glimpse, the silver she-cat fell to what she thought would be her watery grave.

Northern's muzzle was still oozing an endless stream of thick blood, but the only thing the calico could think of now was how Reaction had attacked her and getting back at the younger she-cat.
She hadn't realized how close the two of them were to the edge of the cliff, where the river tumbled over the edge and crashed down into a mighty pool of water below. Northern's lunge missed and the calico was sent stumbling precariously close to the edge. She teetered wobbly on the edge for a few moments, before she slipped on the loose edge and plummeted downward with a caterwaul.
Northern's body hit the surface of the icy water and plunged beneath it's surface. She churned her paws out furiously, not wanting to get caught beneath the onslaught of water cascading downward. Her thoughts weren't on Reaction anymore; only herself. The want to live was a flash of adrenaline that spiked her veins, but despite her best efforts, Northern didn't know how to swim and only succeeded in flailing about. She opened her mouth to scream, but water that felt like winter's icy grip filled her lungs, choking her. The edges of Northern's vision began to swim, until she was merely floating in a black abyss.
It was a few moments later that things started to grow clearer. The darkness that filled her odd eyes began to dissipate, and suddenly Northern realized she was standing in the middle of a star-lit forest. The glowing stars in the sky dappled everything, even the cats that now began to gather. Reaction was there with her as well... were they dead?

Spotting the calico body of Northern, the she-cats fur bristled with rage; but it was immediately calmed as something warm ran across her head. A familiar smell drifted to her scent glands and she lifted her eyes, staring up at a body she had not seen in a moon. "Mother..." Choked the young cat, eyes widening. Her mother... Oh how she missed the warmth of her voice, the coo of her words as she curled gently around the tired kit. Smiling, the she-cat flinched at another touch of a cat she did not know. The words the cat spoke involved her becoming calm... And she was. Confused, the she-cat didn't understand why these cats were near. There was five including her mother that she could see. Three she did not know, though one was trying to calm her, which was stupid seeing as she was already calm. Forcing her eyes shut, the she-cat refused to look at Northern.

Nothern spared another glance at Reaction, rolling her blue and yellow odd eyes. Was she trying to make a point in avoiding eye contact? Well it looked like they were dead now, so it didn't particularly matter to the calico.
A familiar tortoiseshell coat caught Northern's attention. She turned to see her four family members striding up, side by side. Both of her parents looked exactly the same. Arya was as beautiful as ever, perhaps ever more so with the way the stars dappled her light coat. And then there was her handsome, regal father, and her brother who matched their father's looks. And then there was tiny and prim Rowan, beaming at her sister with wide eyes.
Northern gaped at the semi-transparent forms of her parents, wondering what on earth was going on. "What.. w-what are you guys doing here? And what's going on? Are we dead?"

Her mother answered the calico cats question, the Reactions distaste. "We have called you here. You are not dead, but you were close to it. We have all called you to bring forth something that lived many, many moons before us. Back in the time of these three cats. There was once four Clans, and each had a Leader. Thunderstar, Shadowstar, Riverstar and Windstar." Her mother finished, and Reactions ears pricked. Four leaders? Her mother had pointed to the first three cats standing there when she mentioned the four Leaders. Three of four dead Leaders. Confusion speckled Reactions gaze. Where was the fourth Leader? Was the fourth leader... Some how still living? Tilting her head, the she-cat looked at Northern and watched as she spoke to the four other cats who had came up.
Obviously, neither of them was the missing fourth leader.

Everything had gone black. Completely empty of any sort of life. If she had been able to think, Winter would have thought she was dead.
Her eyes opened, and once again she saw Northern and Reaction. All three of them had fallen over the falls... did that mean this was the afterlife? Seeing the starry figures speaking to the others, she assumed that it was. Like she would do in any normal situation, the silver tabby began to slowly creep away from the others, completely uninterested in their conversations. She just wanted to go home.

Another figure appeared, this one another that she knew, but had no name for. It was that she-cat that had been at the City, the one that seemed insanely shy. Northern frowned, wondering what she was doing there as well, but was stopped when her question was answered by one of the cats that had approached Reaction.
Northern froze, entire body stiffening. Clans..? Those mere fables her mother had told them as kits weren't just fables? The calico flashed a wide-eyed stare at her mother, who merely nodded back toward Reaction's mother. Inclining her head into a slight nod, Northern returned her attention to the older she-cat. "So what's this mean?" Northern inquired. "What do these Clans and their past Leaders got to do with us?"

"We have all chosen you to become the Leaders. You too, Winter." Reaction's mother responded, nodding at Northern's mother and the shy she-cat. "The only thing? You will be forced to follow the warrior code just like your own warriors will." She responded, looking at her daughter, hoping a memory would flicker to her mind, a memory of the stories she had told her daughter about the Warrior Code. And one did. A memory quickly flashed to the young cats mind, and she realized that her mothers was talking about the one thing she always loved to listen to as a kit.
