Appearance --

Dawnfire is a pretty tortoiseshell she cat with a golden patch on her right shoulder which makes her stand out more. She has a white underbelly that reaches her. Dawnfire's eyes are brilliantly green and seem to penetrate to one's soul. She has a strong, lithe body which is slender. Her fur is soft and somewhat fluffy, but not so that she stands out too much.

Personality --

Dawnfire is that gentle serene cat that was born calm minded. It was her serenity that made starclan call for her to become a medicine cat. Ever since any clan member can remember, Dawnfire was the kit who was peaceful even in times of danger. She could always keep her head and she didn't always participate in the rough games which her siblings did.

Even though Dawnfire's prominent feature is her ability to stay calm, she is very passionate about her clan. She is a compassionate cat who is always willing to help others no matter what. She doesn't think that certain violent acts are good choices.

Dawnfire was not made for battle but her skills are proficient enough to keep herself alive in a time of need. She loves the water and of course she learned to swim. She grieves her father who was killed in battle when she was nine moons old.

History --

Seventeen moons ago, Whiteblizzard, a she- cat who was one of the best warriors gave birth to five kits. It was a bigger liter, but Whiteblizzard was strong. Her eldest was a girl, which she called Dawnkit, the second Ashkit, and then came the rest, Leafkit, Nightkit, and Lightkit. Three toms and two she- cats. Their father was Pridestep, who was an arrogant and boastful tom, and of course he was a good warrior. He was actually better at talking, but whichever.

When the day came that Dawnkit was able to open her eyes, she watched her brothers Ashkit, Nightkit and Lightkit play while she and Leafkit sat to the side. She could always tell that her sister wanted to play as well. Dawnkit often commented on this, but her sister was somewhat shy and didn't like to play alone, without her sister. But after a moon, she became too interested in the games to keep away. Dawnkit often poked around the medicine den, wanting to learn how to help out. She wasn't interested in the other cats rambunctious activities and so she kept her nose in her own business.

Nine moons passed, and Dawnkit was about to become Dawnpaw. She sat eagerly, looking up to her clan leader who said the sacred words before her. She couldn't really comprehend what was going on but the kit's green eyes were intense, and her her mentor turned out to be the medicine cat.

Dawnkit became Dawnpaw and studied the ways of Starclan and the ancient herbs which healed cats. She learned how to interpret dreams from Starclan, which might have been her favorite part but the part she liked the most, above everything else was helping all cats in any conditions.

During that moon, another clan invaded their territory and her father was given a severe belly wound. it hurt that she had to tend to him, because he was her father in spite of all his arrogance. She and her mentor were not able to save Pridestep, and in the end he passed on to Starclan. Sometimes she feels it's her fault for letting her own father die, which makes her sad at times.

Because Dawnpaw was so passionate about her studies, her mentor gave her the name Dawnfire. "I name you Dawnfire, for the fire in your heart that blazes with such intensity to protect our clan and others." Her mentor had said. About two moons after Dawnfire received her name, the previous medicine cat passed on and left Dawnfire the job.

Dawnfire's litermates were also given warrior names. Ashpaw became Ashclaw, because he was just as fierce a warrior as any. Nightpaw was given the name Nighthawk for his sharp eyes. Leafpaw recieved the name Leafspirit because she was so full of life and Lightpaw became Lightfoot for his ability to stalk prey and other cats so well.
